Ashley Swarts

Ashley Swarts (b. 1989, Las Vegas, Nevada) holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Brigham Young University. She currently owns and operates Slowpoke, a hand-poked tattoo studio in East Austin, Texas. Her early collage paintings on board were first exhibited in 2017 at Parron wine bar in Austin. The sign paintings featured in her debut exhibition with McLennon Pen Co. mark the culmination of eight years of dedicated collage work. This body of work premiered with McLennon Pen Co. in October 2024 at a Pop-Up at Do Right Hall in Marfa during Chinati Weekend, followed by a second showing at McLennon Pen Co.'s permanent space in Austin.
