Overview
Patrick Quinn (b. 1988, Virginia) currently resides in Greenpoint in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated with a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010. During a period from 2011 to 2018 the artist lived in Detroit, Michigan, and was one of four founding members of the ceramics collective Hamtramck Ceramck. Notable collaborations within pop culture include Quinn making a painting to be used as the album cover for Lil Ugly Mane’s rap album Volcanic Bird Enemy and the Voiced Concern from 2021, as well as painting a lightning backdrop for rapper Bad Bunny’s photoshoot for the July 2023 issue of Rolling Stone. Recent exhibitions include Just Say You're Busy and Just Say You're Busy II at WHAAM! Gallery (New York, January 2023 and April 2024); Lighting is an Angry Rainbow with McLennon Pen Co. (Austin, September 2023); and No problem! Here’s the information about the Mercedes CLR GTR at Cheremoya (Los Angeles, November 2024); and a presentation curated by Ella Emhoff on Platform (March 2025).
